GETTING HERE

The UA92 campus will open its doors in September 2019. The site is conveniently located in Trafford, just a few minutes on the tram from central Manchester. We’re well served by buses, trams and trains, though accessible by bike, motorbike and car.

Here you’ll find directions, travel tips and information about public transport links.

UA92 is really easy to reach by public transport – whether you’re joining us from Bolton, Bristol or Belgium!

Travelling to UA92

ON YOUR BIKE

Manchester is a Cycle City, and we hope you’ll consider getting on your bike when you visit or study with us. Transport for Greater Manchester offers some great resources for journey planning if you’re planning to cycle – they highlight cycle lanes and quieter streets.

BY CAR

If you’re travelling by car using sat nav or Google Maps, use postcode M16 0PU. On-site, we offer free visitor parking.

TRAM

The Metrolink runs to Old Trafford station, located on Warwick Road, approximately 100 metres from campus. Find times, routes and more information on the Metrolink website.

BUS

UA92 is well linked to several bus routes, including the 278 and the X50 from Manchester city centre. Please visit www.tfgm.com for the latest timetables and route details.

COACH

We’re also well connected to the rest of the UK by coach. National Express and Megabus depart from Manchester Central and the Shudehill Interchange respectively, both approximately a 15 minute drive from campus. Both offer student discounts – 10% off with an NUS card on Megabus, and ⅓ off on National Express if you buy a £10 Coach Card.

TRAIN

Manchester Piccadilly – Manchester’s rail gateway to the rest of the UK – is just over a 10
minute drive from campus. For train information and to book tickets, visit Virgin Trains, CrossCountry or National Rail Enquiries. Get ⅓ off fares if you buy a 16-25 Railcard.

PLANE

Manchester Airport, approximately a 20 minute drive from campus, welcomes around 19 million passengers every year – you can fly directly to Manchester from around 200 destinations. Connect onwards by taxi, train or shuttle bus.

LOVE THE CITY LIFE

There’s a lot more to university than getting a degree. It’s also about the friends you make and the fun you won’t forget, and Manchester has got you well covered on that score.
